John Keane has nearly 20 years experience in the IT services industry and over the last two years has been investing in early stage companies. In 2007, John founded King Hill Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in cleantech companies.
Before King Hill Capital, John had served as CEO for ArcStream Solutions, which he founded in 2000. ArcStream was a wireless consulting and systems integration firm focused on improving the effectiveness of mobile workers. John sold the company in 2005. Immediately prior to founding ArcStream, John worked at Keane, Inc. for 12 years, supporting the company's revenue growth from $60 million to $1.1 billion. John was co-president from 1997 to 2000, when he established the firm's European operations and expanded the company's revenues and profits by more than 50 percent. From 1994 to 1996, John had responsibility for Keane's Canadian and northeastern United States operations, growing both revenue and profits by more than 100 percent. John joined Keane's board of directors in 1998. As a Director, John led the sub-committee formed in mid-2006 responsible for successfully selling the company in June 2007. John began his career in corporate finance at J.P. Morgan. He currently serves as a director at Cleantech America, Solar Sentry, Design2Launch (recently sold to Kodak), Kendall Investments, Tenacity, and Belmont Day School. He serves as a board observer at Greentech Media. John graduated from Harvard College in 1983 and Harvard Business School in 1988. He lives in Weston, MA with his wife and four children.
